The Fellowship struggled with what would appear to be a new Engel equipped with machina (pistons, boosters on his wings) and Church regalia. This Engel was introduced only as the Ashen, and was intent on destroying everyone in order to attain Schaliel's 'White Flame' or 'Shekinah' as he called it.
Throughout the course of the fight, we witnessed him use a giant blade, similar to that of a Sammuelite, as well as various teleportation maneuvers and attacks. This Engel's unique nature not only allowed him to make multiple attacks, but allowed the Fellowship to attack different parts of his body as well.
Towards the end of the fight, more of those mysterious shifting animal assassins showed up, but were not aligned with the Ashen.
Baal: Primarily keeping his distance from the Ashen, he was able to support the NPC Engel, particularly Loth.
Beoloth: The Grey Hand doled out righteous fist strikes against the Ashen in an effort to protect Iadoth and Atiniel. He suffered grievous wounds at the Ashen, but was still in the fight to the very end... (cont. at bottom)
Cathetel: She was seen smiting her newly arrived foe from across the battlefield (sometimes around cover) and sniping him from atop a clocktower. She was seen fighting alongside Ossiel...
Iridiel: Instilled his Fellowship with vigor, strength, and speed. When his Fellowship and other were in dire need, he radiated a large amount of healing power so they may rise, and fight again.
Layliel: Auto afk'd (either shooting lightning, talking to herself, or /facepalming)
Maroth: Fire or no, Maroth burned with a vengeance unseen before, as she dealt several deadly blows to the Ashen and some would say protected Tyriel...
Schaliel: He's got quite a mouth on him, and he didn't let the Ashen have the White Flame so easily. While he's younger than the others, he demonstrated a fighting prowess similar to that of Maroth. He was there to meet the Ashen across the battlefield in order protect his age equivalents Atiniel and Iadoth.
Zabbaiel: The beast within finally unleashed yet again, she tore into the Ashen in several mighty blows. She stood between her prey and Quoriel (or rather, her prey and her prey) and let loose the fury of the Urielitin.
As the Ashen took damage, bits of his strange metallic armor revealed his flesh beneath. While appearing to be human (except for his armor reduction Colossus mode), the Fellowship noticed strange tattoos on his body. These tattoos were of the names of every individual of the Fellowship, and more.
Upon this revelation, the Ashen proclaimed, "I have killed you all before, now will be no different. To resist is pointless."
The conflict transpired a while longer, until the Ashen prepared to strike Beoloth down for good. In one last act of defiance, Beoloth activated the Self Destruct sequence on his Girdle of Samson, a feature none of the other Engel knew about (except Baal).
Beoloth would not allow the Ashen to threaten, abuse, or kill any of his friends ever again. He grasped the Ashen and used Ashes to Ashes to grip into his arms.
There was a flash of light, and everyone was taken aback for a few moments. While the rest of the party was trying to recover from their harrowing encounter with the Ashen, Iridiel slowly, mechanically started putting Beoloth back together from the splattered remains of his corpse.
"Beoloth?" He timidly spoke his name after picking up each individual piece. Once the leftover remains were collected, he began regenerating his organs and anything else that was incinerated in the blast. When Beoloth was relatively whole again, Iridiel began the ritual of Lazarus.
Although he has performed this miracle before, it has been forbidden to attempt on an Engel.
"Rise, Beoloth. Rise to the world of Men. Your world, our world, still has need of you."
Suffering wounds of his own, Iridiel puts all his healing potestates into resurrecting Beoloth. Iridiel goes unconscious, and Beoloth's corpse is seen turning to ash.
