Le Chevalier D'Eon-Lia De Beaumont is the biggest inspiration for Laylial
Borgias-a good show about the politics and intrigue of the early Renaissance catholic church

Movies
Shinobi no Mono (film series)-it's about scapegoating and moral hypocrisy and ninjas. It's about ninjas.
Never Let Me Go (srsly)-It deals with themes similar Engel including accepting one's fate.
Legend of the Guardians-an animated children's movie by the director of 300.

Ehhh... Ok, so I don't have much of an inspiration for Cathetel, but if I drew influences from anywhere I guess that it would be from Yomiko Readman of Read Or Die, and yes, a little of Katniss from Hunger Games. Maybe also Tohru Honda from Fruits Basket... y'know, for the awkward adorableness.

I honestly didn't have any basis or him other than that. That may be why I'm inconsistent with his attitudes, but I think I've done it enough to qualify him to be diagnosed as a schizophrenic.
